Your AI assistant can look things up and summarize them. It can’t change anything in DiligenceVault.

Existing Permissions Apply

Each request is checked against the signed-in user's DiligenceVault permissions. Users cannot access information beyond their authorized scope.

Scoped to Your Firm

Results only include data your firm can access and are never combined across clients.

Your Own Login, Every Time

Everyone connects with their own DiligenceVault login. Sign-ins expire after 24 hours, and your AI tool asks you to sign in again.

Your Admin Stays in Control

MCP access is enabled or disabled for your firm by your DiligenceVault administrator.

Your Choice of AI

Retrieved content is passed to the AI tool you choose. How that tool handles it is governed by your organization’s agreements with its provider.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which AI tools can I connect?

DiligenceVault MCP supports compatible applications that provide remote MCP connectivity and authentication. Actual availability depends on each provider's implementation and your enterprise configuration.

Who controls access to MCP?

Your DiligenceVault administrator controls whether MCP is available to the organization and its users.

Does MCP replace DV Assist?

No. The two serve different purposes.
DiligenceVault MCP connects authorized DiligenceVault information to your enterprise LLMs.
DV Assist provides purpose-built diligence capabilities within DiligenceVault, including questionnaire autofill, document extraction, review, and memo generation.
Organizations can use either or both, depending on their workflows.

Can MCP make changes to information in DiligenceVault?

Your AI application can retrieve information and help draft content, but changes to DiligenceVault records must be completed within DiligenceVault.

Will MCP return answers with supporting sources?

DiligenceVault MCP can provide source information associated with retrieved records. How references appear in the final response depends on the connected AI application. Users should verify material conclusions against the underlying records.

Can other firms access my firm’s information through DiligenceVault MCP?

No. MCP doesn’t give anyone new access. Each user sees only what they already have permission to see in DiligenceVault account, and data is never combined across clients. If your firm has shared a response or document with another firm in DiligenceVault, they can also see it through their own AI assistant, just as they can in DiligenceVault today.

Is our information used to train AI models?

DiligenceVault does not use data returned through MCP to train models. Retrieved content is passed to the AI tool you choose, so its handling is governed by your organization's agreements with that provider.
